At Jasmine Catering, our goal is to provide you with outstanding, freshly prepared food and professional, friendly service.
We will help you design a menu and presentation for your event that reflects the season as well as your personal style. At the same time, we take pride in our ability to be flexible, and to work within your constraints.
We specialize in a variety of cuisines, ranging from Asian and Middle Eastern, to classic French, Italian, and Californian. We also offer a wide variety of vegetarian dishes and are happy to accommodate your specific requests.
At our base in Berkeley, California, we have access to raw ingredients of the highest quality. We purchase all of our produce at Berkeley Bowl and Monterey Market, and our meat, which is raised without hormones or antibiotics, comes from Niman Ranch. In order to preserve the natural flavors and character of foods, our cooking techniques are simple and produce is minimally handled.
Our clientele continues to grow and we have many returning clients who will gladly testify to the quality of our food and service.
Our Chef
Our chef, Oded Hilu, is passionate about food. From taste to presentation, he prepares all dishes with a personal touch.
As a child growing up on an Israeli kibbutz, Oded learned how to tend a vegetable garden, take care of animals, and savor simply prepared food assembled from the freshest of ingredients.
In 1995, Oded came to New York, where he enrolled in the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. After his graduation, he moved to Berkeley and immersed himself in the Bay Area's highly acclaimed culinary scene. After spending 5 years working at a variety of high-end Bay Area restaurants, including Caf? Rouge, Hawthorne Lane and Rivoli, Oded founded Jasmine Catering in 2002, in order to focus on personal creativity.
