Ingredients
- Dried chick peas 1 ¼ #
- Lemon juice 1 cup
- Salt 4T
- Garlic 10 cloves
- Olive oil 2 ½ T
- Sesame paste 2 ½ cups
- Cumin 2 T
- Water 2 ½ cups
Instructions
- Soak chick peas over night
- Cook in boiling water until the peas are tender
- Cool peas in cold water
- Process peas, garlic, salt, oil and lemon juice in food processor until it is very smooth
- Add lemon juice, sesame paste and water in stages and keep processing till all the liquid is added
- Adjust consistency as needed and refrigerate
